Help with Heating via Food Banks

We have partnered with two local charities to help provide energy and heat saving devices to households concerned about rising energy bills and lowering temperatures. SUSTAIN Food Bank at Tonbridge Baptist Church and FEAST both provide food and fuel vouchers to low income households in the Tonbridge area. These two charities work with low income households all year round, and with the help of the money provided by Tonbridge Lions, can now offer energy or heat saving devices such as slow cookers, electric blankets and more to their guests. Emma Lander from SUSTAIN and Lee Athwal from FEAST are both delighted to be able to offer this real practical help to the households they work with. Lion President Richard Hill comments that in these very difficult times of extreme hardship, he is very pleased that Tonbridge Lions Club is able to support these two charities in the wonderful work that they do for our community.
