It's a Knockout !

Around 125 students from many local special needs establishments, were entertained on Friday at the Tonbridge Lions, It’s a Knockout Sports Day. All were put to the test in the Angel Centre Tonbridge with various fun games, that included a sticky ball darts match, egg and spoon racing, duck fishing and quoits.

The event, sponsored this year by the KCC, was attended by the Mayor of TMBC, Cllr James Lark and his lady Jill.

Following a hearty lunch for the students of sandwiches, cakes and fresh fruit; the Mayor and Tonbridge Lions President Richard Hill presented trophies and medals to the delighted competitors.

The event organising chairperson Lion Tom McHenry said “When we hold occasions like this particular sports day that really pull at your heartstrings, it depicts what Lionism is all about”
