Community Service Awards

We are delighted to celebrate three outstanding students who have recently been recognised with the Tonbridge Lions Community Service Award for their commitment to making a positive difference in their communities:

Anoushka Gosain - a student at The Judd School – is passionate about tackling inequality, particularly the links between health and economic performance, Anoushka also raises funds for the Trussell Trust.

Will Luff of the Leigh Academy – volunteers as a Young Leader with the 14th Tonbridge Sea Scouts, teaching kayaking, paddleboarding and rowing. He also organises weekend activities for other Scout groups and schools, helping more young people enjoy safe water activities.

George Amos also of the Leigh Academy – volunteers with the Pett Level Independent Rescue Boat, supporting rescues between Camber and Hastings, with an impressive 28 call-outs already this year. George also performs with a Sea Shanty crew, helping raise funds for the maintenance of the rescue vehicles and boathouse.

We are incredibly proud of all three students and the time, energy and compassion they give to others. Congratulations, Anoushka, Will and George!
