We are pleased to be able to announce the winner of the inaugural Maurice Gilham Memorial Prize, Photographic Competition, age group 14-16 years. The photo entitled “Where light meets dark” is the work of Evan Bettles of Hildenborough. The judges spoke very favourably of the striking effect, the composition and detail including reflections and the fact that the photo told a story "what’s around the corner."
We thank Emma Stokes of Emma Stokes Photography and Kerry Barton of Studio 23 Photography for joining our President Gordon Hill to view and comment on the entries before agreeing on the winner. A presentation of the £50 prize to Evan will take place in November.
