Junior Schools Choir Concert

Tonbridge Lions proudly hosted its annual Junior Schools Choir Concert in the evening of 11th March at the Tonbridge Baptist Church, bringing together young voices from across the community for a memorable celebration of music.

Six local schools—Slade, Stocks Green, Woodlands, Bishop Chavasse, Royal Rise, and St Margaret Clitherow—participated in the event. Each school choir performed two songs of their own choosing, showcasing a wide range of talent and musical styles. The evening culminated in a powerful combined finale, with all choirs joining together for a truly uplifting performance.

In total, approximately 180 children took part in the concert, performing to an audience of around 400 attendees. The event highlighted both the enthusiasm of the young performers and the strong support from families and the local community. The evening was led by Lion James Lark, who guided the proceedings and following the performances, Lions Club President Phil Jesson presented certificates to each participating school in recognition of their efforts and achievements.

As part of its ongoing commitment to supporting youth in the community, Tonbridge Lions  Club will also be making donations to each school to help further the development of their music programs.

The concert was a resounding success, celebrating not only musical talent but also community spirit and collaboration among local schools.
