Lions Present Community Service Awards

The Tonbridge Lions Community Service Award is presented annually to a student nominated by their school who has made an exceptional contribution to both their school and the community. Two students have recently received the Award:

Toby Greenhill

A 6th form student at Hillview School, Toby has been proactive since joining Sixth Form in 2023, taking on the role of Transition Lead in the Student Leadership Team. He is always helpful during school events and maintains a positive attitude. Outside of school, Toby volunteers at West Kent Radio, helps with a local youth theatre's backstage operations, and has been a long-time member of the Scout Association. He holds the Duke of Edinburgh's Bronze Award and is working toward the Silver Award. Toby also achieved the rank of Corporal in the CCF and maintains perfect attendance at school. Toby always has an excellent general demeanour and has achieved 100% attendance throughout his time here at Hillview Sixth Form.

Ava Toby

Alongside her role as Deputy Head Girl at the Weald of Kent school, Ava has worked hard with younger students this year through Student Council, acting as a conduit between year group reps and the staff responsible for managing this feedback. She has represented the school community with pride and distinction at various open and community events and is a role model to her younger peers. Ava has often given up her time to help with various school projects and charity events, consistently holding herself to a very high standard. Now coming to the end of her time at Weald, Ava is the embodiment of the school values of curiosity, courage and compassion, and the school has been enriched by her contribution to our community.
