Tonbridge Lions Support Local Amateur Boxing Club

Tonbridge Lions Club recently made a donation of £553 to support the development of Tonbridge Amateur Boxing Club (TABC), a fast-growing community sports organisation founded in 2022.

The cheque was presented by Lion President Phil Jesson to Anthony Grove, founder and CEO of the Club. The funds will be used to purchase club singlets and vests for use in both training and competitive events.

Mr Grove expressed his gratitude for the donation, highlighting the club’s continued progress and the positive impact it is having across the Tonbridge area:

“The local community of Tonbridge and the individuals within it are at the forefront of everything we do. We are extremely proud of the progress we have made since we opened our doors in 2022, and grateful to the dedication of boxers and generosity of anyone who has donated time or resources – which has undoubtedly been the driving force behind enabling us to add a wider range of sessions and reach more people. Based on how quickly we have scaled in three years, we are highly optimistic about the future, and excited to not only continue the work we are doing but add more projects and initiatives to serve the community.”

Tonbridge Amateur Boxing Club continues to go from strength to strength, with growing numbers of male and female members and a strong emphasis on community inclusion and youth engagement.

Tonbridge Lions are proud to support such a progressive and inspiring organisation, whose mission aligns closely with our own commitment to community service and youth development.
