Trevor King Receives Prestigious Melvin Jones Fellowship Award

On Tuesday 6 January 2026, Trevor King, owner of Twice Recall, was presented with the Melvin Jones Fellowship Award for Dedicated and Humanitarian Services, the highest honour awarded by the Lions Clubs International Foundation.

The presentation was made by Lion President Phil Jesson and Lion Trevor Dalladay in recognition of Mr King’s exceptional generosity and commitment to the local community.

The award acknowledges Mr King’s donation of an 18-seat minibus to Long Mead School in March last year, following the theft of the school’s previous vehicle. His generosity ensured the school could continue providing vital transport services for its pupils.

In the 75-year history of the Tonbridge Lions Club, this prestigious award has been presented only twice, highlighting the significance of Mr King’s contribution.

Mr King expressed his gratitude for the honour and praised the Tonbridge Lions Club for their continued work in the community, as well as their role in facilitating the minibus donation.
