Upz & Downz had purchased an outbuilding at Longmead but soon found that their commercial freezer they needed to operate the cafe had failed and was beyond repair. Our donation of £700 paid for a replacement and enabled the cafe to keep going. Lion President Richard met with Bernard Chick who established the centre with the main aim of enhancing the employment opportunities for young adults with learning disabilities.
