Tonbridge Lions Club welcomed 100 local senior residents to the Angel Centre on 14 th February for its annual Senior Citizens’ Party, supported by the tmactive team. Guests enjoyed an afternoon of music, comedy and community spirit, with performances from the Hartlip Singers, dancers from Dynamic Dance, monologues by John Quinton, and songs from Lions members Geraint, Neal and Richard, ending with community singing.
An afternoon tea of sandwiches, cakes and hot drinks was prepared and served by Lions Club volunteers. The oldest guest, Ruth Fagg, was photographed with the principal guest, Deputy Mayor Cllr Kim Tanner, continuing a longstanding tradition. Cllr Tanner and her husband also helped launch the Club’s lighthearted “Heads and Tables” game.
The event once again delivered a warm and enjoyable afternoon for Tonbridge’s older residents, reflecting the Lions’ ongoing commitment to community service.
