On Thursday 21st November, Tonbridge Lions President, Phil Jesson presented a cheque for £100 to Thrive EIS, Tonbridge, a new charity in the town formed in May of this year. He met Louise Fenton, Charity Director & Service Lead and Sue Wenham, Chair of Trustees.
The inspirational and dedicated team at Thrive have office space in Tonbridge, south of the town, and offer a wealth of free advice and service to children, young people and families who have special educational needs, social emotional mental health difficulties or have experienced trauma.
The Tonbridge Lions Club are pleased to support Thrive by providing funds to purchase art and craft materials for their clients to utilise. Louise and Sue showed Lion President Phil the well developed and thoughtful wellbeing, activity and meeting areas within the office. He was particularly impressed with the concept of offering their services, free of charge, to those in need of their help and guidance within Tonbridge town.
During the visit, the inspiration, aspirations and dedication of Thrive were most evident and the Lions Club will be most pleased to hear how valued and appreciated their donation is.
Tonbridge Lions Club looks forward to keeping in touch with Thrive and its staff in the months and years ahead.
