Members of Tonbridge Lions Club were delighted to receive formal recognition for the club's longstanding contribution to the local community at an award ceremony held on 22 October at the Tonbridge & Malling Borough Council offices in Kings Hill.

The certificate was presented by Councillor Sarah Hudson, Deputy Mayor of Tonbridge & Malling Borough Council, to Club President Richard Hill, accompanied by Lion Keith Bourne.

During the presentation, Councillor Des Keers read the citation: "Award for its decades of voluntary service, supporting residents of all ages and helping deliver valued community events and activities across Tonbridge."

The award recognises the dedication and commitment shown by generations of Tonbridge Lions members who have volunteered their time to support local residents, charities, community projects and events throughout the town.

Lion President Richard Hill said the club was proud to receive the recognition, which reflects the hard work and commitment of all its members, past and present.

Tonbridge Lions Club is honoured to have received this award and looks forward to continuing its service to the community in and around Tonbridge for many years to come.
